Burlington Food Pantry For the past 2 years, the students in grades 7-12 have raised money for the Burlington Food Pantry (BFP) located in Peace Lutheran Church. Students compete against each other during their Laker Times to see which group can bring in the most money in 9 days. All the funds are then given to the BFP to help them purchase supplies needed to stock their shelves. This year, Mr. Larson's Laker Time (15 students in the 9th grade) won the traveling trophy and a trip to the DQ by bringing in $718.18!!  The grand total our students raised this year was $3,532.93. We are so grateful for our students' ambition and generosity in this event.

I don't know if you want to list the amounts of each Laker Time or not, but the top 8 brought in over $100 in their classroom. The picture with the check has a different amount because there was a gift card given, so we had to take that amount off the check.

1: Mr. Larson $718.18
2: Mrs. Quam $611.82
3: Mr. Teske $565.74
4: Mr. Johnson $541.40
5: Mrs. Schiele $323.80
6: Mr. Zietz $194.32
7: Mrs. Bonness $128.00
8: Mr. Karhoff $110.17
9: Mr. Schwart $72.00
10: Ms. Houston $51.50
11: Mr. Quam $45.97
12: Mr. Michels $41.78
13: Mr. Kuhnhenn $35.00
14: Mrs. Hysjulien $30.50
15: Mrs. Smith $28.00
16: Ms. Thompson $21.56

From Christopher Bachmeier/Des Lacs - Burlington Superintendent of Schools
Here is a letter that is being sent out to everyone in our school district regarding the recent mandated changes brought on by our governor. Please take a moment and read this letter and know how grateful I am in all the hard work that everyone is doing to guide our students through these difficult times. Click here for the PDF.

HOME GAMES We hope this clears up any confusion some may have regarding entry of home games moving forward while Ward County is in yellow.

Beginning at noon on Friday,  September 25, for home indoor events, each participant will be issued 2 vouchers. These vouchers will be given to each participant prior to the contest and are to be used to be able to purchase a ticket to the contest. Adults and students who do not attend DL-B will not be allowed entrance to the contest unless they present the voucher.  DL-B students will still be allowed entrance for home games without having a voucher.  This directly affects our home volleyball game with Bishop Ryan on Tuesday, September 29th. Again, when looking at away games, those parameters are determined by the hosting school.

Finally, outdoor games hosted at DL-B do not have any restrictions on fan admittance at this time.

I would like to thank everyone for their understanding and cooperation during these challenging times.
Sincerely,
Christopher Bachmeier
